Johan Heystek is an accomplished composer, arranger, lyricist and a world-class pianist.  He has produced and arranged for numerous local and international award-winning artists and has recorded 3 of his own inspiring instrumental albums.  His album "Inner Peace" was recently re-released world wide.   

One of Johan Heystek's own compositions, "Here, heilige Here" ( in English, "Father, holy Father"), was nominated and chosen as 1 of the 3 finalists for the prestigious ATKV Lier Award, 2004.  This is under the category "Best New Afrikaans Gospel Composition".   Johan Heystek also produced and arranged "Net U Alleen", the album on which "Here, heilige Here" was released.  

"Net U Alleen" is the 2004 winner of the Lier Award!  This award is similar to the Dove awards in the USA.  For 2004 there were 119 entries from which 17 finalists were chosen in 6 categories.  Only one overall winner is chosen as the best production of the year.  "Net U Alleen" is the latest CD released by Mosaïek and features fresh new Afrikaans and English Gospel songs.

Currently Johan is the Music leader of Mosaïek, a church with 5,000 members in Fairland and he is Co-owner of Solo Recording Studio - a world class, state of the art recording studio in Gauteng, South Africa.
